Important change on DIGLINE Locate Request Tickets:

Effective 7:00 a.m., August 1, 2018, in order to align Idaho’s Damage Prevention practices with Idaho State Statutes, Digline will implement a change in the Work to Begin times that appear on locate request tickets.

Idaho Statute requires facilities to be marked within two periods of 24 hours (12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.) that fall on business days after the date that the request is made. This is a significant difference from past practice, which has allowed only 16 “working hours”—8-to-5 weekdays—from the time of the request. See the infographic below for example (click on the image to see a larger version).

This change will provide more reliable locate times, and we believe it will also allow for more accurate locating, resulting in safer digging. Please call us if you have any questions on this change.
